KITCHEN

Village House Kitchen

This is the sixth kitchen we have done in the village of Kirby Overblow and all of them have been through personal recommendation.

The new owners of this house had been invited for a ‘safari supper’ at several friends’ houses in the village, all of whom had Christopher Philips furniture or kitchens and they were so impressed that they came to see us at our workshops.

The project involved full removal and replacement of the floor and joists and installation of wet underfloor heating, electrical work, tiling, and finally the new bespoke handmade kitchen

The generous size of the kitchen allowed us to incorporate a large island, bookcases, and seating to make this room the family hub they wanted

Our customers’ love of cooking meant it was important that the kitchen was practical to use on a day to day basis as well as for dinner parties and entertaining.

The use of two contrasting granites on the island worktop added a real wow factor to the scheme, further enhanced by the use of backlit granite up-stands to either side of the bi-fold door chef’s pantry.

A Gaggenau fully integrated fridge freezer allowed us to create the look of a break fronted piece of furniture, with the practicality of the incorporated fridge, also fitted was a Bora Induction hob with built-in downdraught extraction, avoiding the need for a ceiling-mounted extraction system over the island.

As always the cabinetry was hand-painted by our skilled finishers.
